Magnum and the environment
The environment is a hot topic in the labelling market at the moment. Customers are looking for greener products at a
realistic price. At present there is a premium for the eco friendly options but the prices do seem to be dropping. Some of
the large retailers are pushing for the highest standards and our market will have to adapt. In 2008 Magnum will be looking
to introduce some more eco friendly products.
The first product will be PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) which is a
cornstarch option and is environmentally friendly as it a
renewable source of material it is Biodegradable and
certified to EN13432.
The second product will be an FSC paper. This is a
paper approved by the Forest Stewardship Council who
ensure the re-generation of trees in managed forests
The third product range will be recycled papers. These
are up to 100% recycled and with environmentally
sustainable adhesives.
